How to Install an Acer Monitor in Win XP

1. Plug the monitor into the computer. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
2. Click the 'Start' button. Select 'Control Panel.'
3. Click 'Appearance and Themes.' Click the 'Display' option.
4. Select the 'Settings' tab. Click the 'Advanced' button. Select the 'Monitor' tab. Click the 'Properties' button.
5. Select the 'Driver' tab. Click the 'Update Driver' button. The Hardware Update Wizard window will open.
6. Select the option you wish to use. You can download the driver from the Internet or get the driver from the CD that came with the monitor. Depending on the option you choose, follow the onscreen prompts to copy the driver to your computer. Note the location where you placed the drivers.
7. Select the driver and the driver location in the Hardware Update Wizard to install the Acer driver. If you receive a message stating the driver had not passed Windows Logo testing, click the 'Continue anyway' button.
8. Wait for the driver to finish installing. Click the 'Finish' button.
