1. Locate the paper tray on your Canon laser printer. For small desktop laser printers, simply flip down the front paper tray, the same place you load regular paper. On large format Canon laser printers, flip down the manual feed tray on the right-hand side of the unit.
2. Find the paper guides and adjust them to the width of the envelope you are printing. Push the guides in on both sides until the envelope is firmly held without being pinched. Each Canon laser printer includes a picture of an envelope on the tray to make it easier to line up the envelope properly.
3. Open your word processing software and use the tools to type the address for your envelope. In Microsoft Word, you can print an envelope by clicking the 'Tools' menu, choosing 'Envelopes and Labels' and clicking the 'Envelope' tab.
4. Click the 'Print' icon on the word processing program to send the envelope to the printer. Make sure the envelope feeds into the Canon printer straight and does not go askew.
