1. Open the carriage door on the top of the HP 1010 printer. Lift the toner cartridge out.
2. Position the toner cartridge so it is facing upright you are looking at its back.
3. Drill a hole about 3 inches from the left end and a half inch from the bottom. Make sure the hole is large enough for the nozzle of the toner refill bottle to fit. Be careful not to let any plastic shavings fall into the cartridge.
4. Turn the toner refill bottle upside down and tap it on a desk or table to loosen the toner.
5. Open the toner refill cap. Insert the nozzle into the refill hole. Tilt the bottle up so the toner flows into the cartridge.
6. Remove the toner refill bottle from the cartridge. Replace the cap on the bottle.
7. Place a piece of duct tape over the refill hole. Shake the toner cartridge gently side to side to distribute the toner evenly.
8. Place the toner cartridge into the HP 1010 printer. Close the carriage door.
