1. Put the cartridge you'd like to reset into the printer. Wait for the printer to recognize the cartridge, and print an alignment page. Some models will automatically print the alignment page, and others will ask for your confirmation. If asked, select yes to print the page.
2. Remove the first cartridge, and put in the second. Wait for the printer to recognize the cartridge, and print an alignment page.
3. Remove the second cartridge, and put in the third. Wait for the printer to recognize the cartridge, and print an alignment page.
4. Remove the third cartridge, and put the first cartridge back in. Wait for the printer to recognize the cartridge, and print an alignment page.
5. Check to make sure the ink levels in the HP tool are reset back to full. If the HP Solution Center window doesn't automatically pop up on its own showing you the new ink levels, you can check the status manually by double-clicking the HP Digital Imaging Monitor icon located on your computers task bar.
