How to Clear a Stuck Printer Queue

1. Click on the 'Start' menu in Windows XP, then click on 'Control Panel' and select 'Printers and Faxes.'
2. Double-click on the printer icon with the stuck queue.
3. Locate each document that is stuck in the printer queue. Place the mouse pointer over the document and click on it. Scroll down to 'Cancel' in the drop-down menu and click on it. Click 'Yes' to confirm. The process may take some time before the printing job is canceled.
4. Click on the Windows icon in Windows 7 and then click on 'Administrative Tools,' then 'Services.' The 'Windows Services management' window will appear. Scroll down to 'Print Spooler' and right-click on it. Locate and click on 'Stop.' If you prefer, you can delete print jobs individually by right-clicking on the document within the Windows printer queue and then 'Delete.'
