How to Realign an HP Printer

1. Click the 'Start' button on your computer and go to 'Programs' or 'All Programs.'
2. Locate the HP program group and select the option for 'HP Director' or 'HP Solution Center.'
3. Click the 'Settings' option on the left. Select 'Printer Settings' and then 'Printer Toolbox.'
4. Select the “Align Print Cartridges” option and then follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
5. Print a test page after the alignment has completed to verify that the process worked.
Mac OS
1. Open the 'Utilities' folder and then the 'HP Photosmart' folder to find the 'HP Inkjet Utility.'
2. Locate the 'HP Inkjet Utility' icon in the folder and double-click it to open the program.
3. Select the pull-down menu and click 'Calibrate.'
4. Click “Align” to begin the process of aligning the print cartridges.
5. Print a test page after the alignment has completed to verify that the process worked.
