How to Use a Brother 575 Fax Machine (4 Steps)

1. Plug the telephone cable into the line-in jack on the Brother 575 fax machine. The other end of the cable should be plugged into the telephone source, such as a wall jack or VoIP modem.
2. Insert the document face down in the automatic document feeder. The automatic document feeder is capable of holding 10 pages at once—inserting more than ten pages could cause a paper jam.
3. Enter the fax number you would like to send the fax to using the keypad. If dialing along distance, be sure to dial “1” before the area code.
4. Press “Fax Start” to begin the fax transmission. Once pressed, you will hear a dial tone, and then the fax machine will dial the number entered. When the transmission is complete, a transmission verification page will be printed, should you have the option selected from the settings menu.
