How to Check My Ink Levels (4 Steps)

1. View the levels on your printer's software. Print a document by pressing Ctrl + P. A window will then display the ink levels if your computer is equipped with this feature.
2. Print a test page. Go to the Ink Guides website to choose a test page to print. Note whether the colors appear to be bright or faint.
3. Go to the Control Panel and select 'Printers.' Right click on the default printer and select 'Printing Preferences.' The ink levels will be shown on the bottom left-hand side of the window.
4. Check the ink cartridge. Lift up the printer lid and remove a cartridge. Look at the bottom of the cartridge and gently touch the end. The cartridge will be empty if you do not get any ink on your finger.
