1. Connect the printer to the USB port if it is not already connected. Click 'Start.' Type 'Network and Sharing Center' in the search box at the bottom of the 'Start' menu. Press 'Enter.'
2. Click the down-arrow to expand the current network profile. Click the radio button next to 'Turn On File and Printer Sharing' under 'File and Printer Sharing.' Click 'Save Changes.' Close the window.
3. Click 'Devices and Printers' from the 'Start' menu. Right-click on the icon for the printer in the window that is to be shared. Select 'Printer Properties' from the menu.
4. Click on the 'Sharing' tab in the dialog box. Click a check mark in the box next to 'Share This Printer.'
5. Click the 'Apply' and 'OK' buttons to complete the conversion of the USB printer to a networked or LAN printer.
