1. Remove the ink cartridge from the printer.
2. Fill a bowl with warm water.
3. Hold the printer head (also referred to as print head) in the water for a few minutes. This is the small area on the bottom of the cartridge where the ink flows. You'll see the water change color from the dried ink flowing out of the cartridge.
4. Take the ink cartridge out of the water. Use the cotton swab to wipe the printer head free of any additional ink that might still be there.
5. Dab dry the end of the printer head, ensuring there is no water remaining. It is now safe to place the cartridge back into the printer.
