How to Replace the Battery in an HP Laser Mouse

1. Turn your HP laser mouse upside down.
2. Slide the locking mechanism, located on the forward end of the mouse, back toward the 'Open' position.
3. Turn the mouse right-side-up and pull the hand grip up from the body of the mouse to expose the battery compartment.
4. Pull the batteries out of the holders and insert new batteries, using the same orientation. A pictorial guide beveled into the battery compartment shows where the '+' or '-' end of the battery should align.
5. Push the hand grip back on the mouse body until it locks in place.
