1. Raise the printer cover of your HP C6280 to access the ink cartridge tray. Pull the tab below the cartridge to raise the cover. Remove the cartridge from the carrier.
2. Remove the protective film from the new cartridge, then insert the new cartridge into the carrier. Close the gray cover.
3. Close the printer cover. If the error disappears, you can stop here. If the error still appears, open the printer cover and open the cartridge door for the cartridge in question. Remove the cartridge, then set it aside. Repeat the process for each cartridge until you remove them all.
4. Close the covers over each ink cartridge slot. Close the printer cover. Pull the power cord out of the back of the printer, then from the wall outlet. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. Plug the other end back into the printer. Push the “Power” button to turn the printer on.
5. Raise the printer cover to expose the cartridge tray. Pull the tab on the cartridge door. Insert the cartridge straight into the compartment, then close the cartridge door. Repeat the process to reinstall all of the ink cartridges. Close the printer cover to clear the error messages.
