How to Troubleshoot WordPerfect Printing (20 Steps)

1. Close WordPerfect.
2. Click 'Start,' then 'Control Panel.' Click on Classic View in the left column of Windows XP and Windows Vista (if applicable) or 'Show all Control Panel items' in Windows 7.
3. Double-click 'Printers' or 'Printers and Faxes.'
4. Double-click your default printer, which will show a green check mark on the printer icon.
5. Click 'Printer' in the menu bar, then select 'Cancel all documents.' Click 'Yes' to verify, and close the printer box. Minimize the Control Panel, but do not close it.
6. Repeat for any additional printers you have installed on your computer.
7. Re-open your document in WordPerfect, and attempt to print again. Proceed with the next section if you cannot print.
Remove Offline Printers
1. Close WordPerfect.
2. Maximize the Control Panel window. The window should still show the 'Printers' or 'Printers and Faxes' panel. Double-click on 'Printers' or 'Printers and Faxes' if not.
3. Examine the printers listed and the status shown. Right-click any printer that reads 'Offline' or 'Unable to connect' as the status, and click 'Delete.' Verify that you wish to remove the printer.
4. Repeat until all printers shown in 'Printers' or 'Printers and Faxes' read 'Ready.'
5. Close the Control Panel. Re-open the document in WordPerfect, and attempt to print. Proceed with the next section if you cannot print.
Restore Printer Information
1. Click 'Start.' Type 'regedit' (without quotes) in the 'Search' text field in Windows 7 and Windows Vista, and press 'Enter.' Click 'Run,' type 'regedit' in the 'Open' text field in Windows XP and press 'Enter.'
2. Click 'File' in the menu bar of the Registry Editor, then click 'Export.' Click 'All' in the lower-left corner of the Export box.
3. Type 'backup' as the 'File Name,' then click 'Save' to backup your registry.
4. Browse to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Corel' in the left column by double-clicking directories.
5. Right-click on the 'PrintEngine' folder in the right column, and click 'Rename.' Type 'PrintEngineOld' (without quotes) as the new name, and press 'Enter.'
6. Navigate to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Corel\WordPerfect\14' in the left column. The '14' may not be present and may instead show a different version number, depending on your specific WordPerfect installation.
7. Right-click 'Envelope' in the right column, and click 'Rename.' Type 'EnvelopeOld,' and press 'Enter.'
8. Close the Registry Editor. Re-open the document in WordPerfect, then attempt to print the document.
