How to Use the Manual Feed Tray of a Laser Printer

1. Open the tray of the laser printer. Usually the tray just pulls out of its position.
2. Pull out the tray extension. Do this gently so it does not disconnect from the printer.
3. Set the side guides to the correct width of the paper. Don't push them too close or the paper may not feed correctly.
4. Load the paper in the tray of the printer. Be sure that you do not put too much paper in. You want it to fit under the tabs and below the maximum-height indicators of the printer.
5. Adjust the side guides so that they barely touch the paper stack. You do not want it too close to the paper because it will bend the paper.
6. Close the tray and put back the tray extension. The paper will now be ready to print.
