1. Pull out the paper and check that it is smooth with no ragged edges. Always use a good quality paper in your Samsung printer to prevent feeding problems.
2. Remove the paper stack from the tray. Turn it over and reinsert it back into the tray. Rotate the paper stack 180 degrees if turning over the paper doesn't solve the feeding issue.
3. Remove several sheets of paper from the stack, as overloading the tray with paper can cause feeding issues.
4. Press and adjust the printer guides so that they sit tightly against the sides of the paper in the paper tray.
5. Pull out jammed pieces of paper. Look at the outside of the machine for pieces of paper sticking out. Grip the paper and pull gently until it easily releases from the machine. Open the trays and any areas where the paper feeds through to look for jams. Remove the printer cartridge and pull out any stuck pieces of paper located behind the cartridge.
6. Replace the paper in the tray with the paper type suggested by Samsung. For letter-size paper, Samsung recommends using 8.5 x 11 inch, 16 to 32 bond paper.
