1. Properly connect the Lexmark's AC adapter to the 730 printer and a wall outlet. Make sure the outlet is grounded.
2. Connect the USB cable to the USB input port on the back of the Lexmark 730 printer and an open USB port on your computer.
3. Press the 'Power' button on the top right side of the Lexmark 730 printer.
4. Lift the front cover of the printer to reveal the printer cartridge holder. Peel the plastic seal strips off the cartridges and insert them into the hold. If inserted properly, they should snap into place. Close the printer lid once they are installed.
5. Insert the Lexmark 730 installation CD in your computer's disk drive.
6. Select 'Cancel' when your computer prompts you to use the 'New Hardware' installation wizard. The Lexmark software installer will open and guide you through the remaining steps.
