How to Troubleshoot Micros POS Systems

1. Confirm that the problem is with the Micros software itself. Since Micros operates with a wide variety of other hardware and software platforms, the problem could lie with a non-Micros system. You may need to consult with the other hardware or software manufacturer's support or documentation to determine where the problem lies.
2. Make sure you have the current version of the Micros software. Recent patches or releases may resolve the problem you are having with the software.
3. Repeat the steps you took that led to the problem. If it happens again, then you may have a bug or problem with the software. Otherwise, you may have made a simple mistake.
4. Record any error messages or unusual behavior from the software. This can help Micros' customer support determine the problem and solution.
5. Review the user guides and other documents that came with your software. You may find the answer you need there.
