1. Unplug the extension cord from the GH700's electrical cord. Flip over the GH700 to access the head. Squeeze in the two tabs on the outer head and lift off the spool cap. Hold the cutting head while pulling the line spool from the head.
2. Remove any remaining trimmer line from the cutting head and spool. Wipe out the interior of the head and the spool with the rag.
3. Insert 3/4-inch of the line into the anchor slots on the uppermost part of the spool. Wind the line in the direction following the arrow on the spool. Hold the line tight to keep the layers straight and prevent them from overlapping one another.
4. Wind the line until it reaches the recesses on top of the spool. Cut the line from the bulk roll. Park the ending 6 inches of line into one of the holding slots on the spool. Fit the second cutting line into the anchor on the lower half of the spool. Wind the line in the same direction until it reaches the recesses on the bottom side. Insert the line into the holding slot on the opposite side.
5. Push the wound spool onto the center post in the head. Rotate the spool slightly to seat it against the head. Unhook one line from the holding slot and thread it through the eyelet on the head, making sure the line extends at least 5 inches from the hole. Repeat the same thing with the other cutting line. Align the tabs on the spool cap with the slots on the head. Push the cap down until it snaps into place.
