How do I Move the Print Head on a Brother MFC

1. Grab the front edge of the printer’s top cover. Lift up on the cover until the cover’s arm locks into position.
2. Wait for the cartridge assembly to stop moving completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
3. Remove the print cartridges from the assembly by pressing on the front edge of each one, then lifting it toward you and then up. Place the print cartridges on paper towels.
4. Press on both sides of the cartridge assembly, using care to not force it to move if it is stuck. Remove any paper that blocks it from moving from one side of the printer to the other.
5. Reinsert the print cartridges so they click into place. Lift up on the top cover slightly, then slowly lower it down to the closed position.
