1. Quit all open programs on your computer, and insert the HP Officejet installation disc into the computer's disc drive.
2. Double-click the 'Setup' icon in the pop-up window to start InstallShield, the setup wizard for the printer's software. Click 'Next' and click the check box next to the license agreement to continue with the driver's installation.
3. Click 'Install' and click 'Finish' to exit the driver setup wizard.
4. Plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the router and on the back of the Officejet printer.
5. Insert the second Ethernet cable into the router, and insert the other end in the Comcast modem's Ethernet port.
6. Plug the router's power cable into the router and an outlet, and plug the printer's power adapter into the printer's power port and an outlet.
7. Press the Officejet's power button to turn on the printer. A printer icon is displays in the bottom-right corner of the desktop task bar when the printer is detected by the computer.
