How to Replace the Ink Cartridge in an Epson Stylus CX3810

1. Turn on the printer. This is necessary to allow the carriage to move to the center of the printer.
2. Lift the scanner lid to access the ink cartridges.
3. Press and release the ink button on the top-left side of the printer. The button has an ink drop icon next to it. This will prompt the carriage to move, aligning the empty ink cartridge in the check position. Press the ink button again to move to the next empty cartridge. Continue until all empty cartridges are identified and the carriage moves to the replacement position.
4. Lift the ink cartridge cover by grasping it from the rear and rotating it up toward the front.
5. Pull the tab on the rear of the cartridge forward and lift the cartridge up out of its slot.
6. Shake the new cartridge several times before you remove it from the package.
7. Insert the cartridge into the slot, ensuring that it clicks into place.
8. Close the cartridge cover and close the scanner lid.
9. Press the ink button to charge the new cartridge, which will take about a minute. When it finishes the ink light will turn off.
