1. Unplug the USB cable from the computer if you have plugged it in.
2. Download the drivers from the HP website found in the Reference section. On the first page, you need to select the model number of the printer that you have. The three 1350 models to choose from are the PSC 1350, PSC 1350v and the PSC 1350xi. Click on the correct printer.
3. Select the language that you will use, and select your computer's operating system from the list. You can choose Mac or Windows operating systems. Click on the correct system to go to the download page.
4. Look under 'Driver' for the correct driver and software download. Click on the 'Download' button to the right of the correct download.
5. Click 'Save file' to save the file to your desktop or someplace on the computer where you can find it easily. The download will start. Allow it to continue until you are prompted that it is complete.
6. Find the file on your desktop or the location where you downloaded it to and double-click the file to start the installation process.
7. Follow any prompts that you see. When told to hook up the printer to the computer, plug the USB cable into the computer. The installation will continue and finish. The printer will now work with the computer.
