1. Measure 1 cup of almond oil into a medium bowl. Almond oil deeply penetrates the skin and is used in aromatherapy and massage to help relax the mind and body, and relieve aches and pains. Almond oil is also a great moisturizer that nourishes the skin without leaving an oily build-up.
2. Add 1 cup of sea salt to the bowl. Sea salt is great to increase circulation and relaxation; however, you may substitute salt with brown sugar, which is gentler on sensitive skin. Brown sugar is a great alternative, as its fine oils soothe and soften the skin.
3. Stir in five drops of your favorite essential oil, mixing the ingredients well. Place the natural body scrub in a dark glass jar with a tight fitting lid.
4. Use your natural body scrub before showering, applying to dry skin with gentle circular movements.
