1. Slide the battery pack into the back of the printer in the spaces provided. Plug in the AC adapter and turn on the device.
2. Connect the USB wireless accessory if your printer model has it bundled. This is plugged in at the side next to the Wi-Fi logo.
3. Insert the installation disc into your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions and click 'Next' throughout. When choosing your 'connection method,' choose either 'Wireless' or 'Direct,' depending on which model you have.
4. Turn your printer on when prompted. Windows will display 'Found New Hardware' and then begin to set up the drivers. Remove the installation disc once setup is complete.
5. Click 'Start,' then 'Control Panel' and 'Printers.' This will allow you to set up use of your printer across your home network. Right-click the HP printer, then click 'Properties' and choose the 'Sharing' tab. Click 'Share' to share it across your network.
