How to Change the Ink Cartridge in an Epson WorkForce 600

1. Wait for the Epson WorkForce 600 to display that it is low on ink. When the printer reads that the ink cartridge needs to be changed, a warning message appears on the display screen that states, 'You need to replace the following ink cartridges,' and indicates the color of the cartridge that needs to be replaced.
2. Power on the Epson WorkForce 600 by pressing the power button on the top of the unit. Press 'OK' on the display screen to respond to the warning message. Press 'Replace Now' on the following screen, then press 'OK' again.
3. Lift the top of the Epson WorkForce 600 so you can see the scanner bed. Pull up the plastic cartridge cover to the right of the scanner bed.
4. Press in the tab that holds the cartridge that needs replacement. The tab sits toward the inside of the scanner bed, where the lid is attached. Push it straight in toward the cartridge body, then lift the cartridge up to remove it from the printer.
5. Shake the new ink cartridge four to five times before you open the packaging. Open the package and remove the cartridge. Peel the yellow tape off the bottom.
6. Slide the new cartridge into the printer in the same direction of the old cartridge. Push down on the cartridge until it clicks to lock it into place.
7. Close the ink cover and press to click it into place. Press 'OK' on the display screen. The printer prepares the cartridge for printing and a message appears on the screen when it is safe to print.
