How to Install a UPS Thermal Printer (6 Steps)

1. Download the UPS Thermal Printer Driver from the UPS technical support site (see References). Unzip the file. double-click on 'setup' to install.
2. Download the UPS Thermal Printer plug-in or ActiveX control from the UPS technical support site (see References). The plug-in is for Firefox users; the ActiveX control is for Internet Explorer.
3. Go to the Start Menu and select Control Panel > Printers. Select 'Add Printer.' Ignore the Windows' offer to automatically detect and install the printer. Click 'Next.'
4. Select 'Have Disk.' Click 'Browse' and navigate to c:\UPSDrivers. Select zsd.inf and click 'Open.'
5. Find your thermal printer model from the list and click 'Next.' Name the printer and ignore the Windows' suggestion to print a test page. Select 'Finish.' Ignore the Windows' warning dialogue box.
6. Navigate your browser to UPS Internet shipping to test out your thermal printer settings.
