1. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of Epsom salts around the root mass of your rose plants.
2. Nestle the salts into the top two inches of soil with a cultivating fork and ensure that the 1/4 cup of salts are distributed evenly around the drip line of the rose.
3. Water the Epsom salts in well at application to activate them in the soil.
4. Repeat the 1/4 cup application up to, but no more than, three times in a 12-month period to avoid excess build-up in the soil.
