How to Refill HP 74 75 Ink Cartridges

1. Remove the contents of the 74 and 75 refill kits. The black ink refill kit will have one bottle of black ink and one syringe. The color refill kit will have one bottle each of cyan, magenta and yellow ink, plus three syringes.
2. Set the cartridge on a paper towel. Remove the label from the top of the ink cartridge. The fill hole for the black cartridge is at the top. On the color ink cartridges, the magenta fill hole is on the bottom left, the cyan's is on the bottom right side and the yellow fill hole is on the top in the center.
3. Fill the syringe with ink. Use one syringe for each color. Place the needle of the syringe into the ink bottle, pull up on the plunger and withdraw the ink. The color ink will fill six ml while the black syringe holds 20 ml of ink.
4. Inject the ink into the ink cartridge slowly by pushing down on the plunger. If the ink oozes out of the hole, stop filling and wipe up the ink with the damp cloth. Some cartridges may not be completely empty and will take less ink.
5. Place the filled cartridge into the carriage in the printer. Run one to three test pages to cycle the ink before running any print tasks.
