1. Log in to the website where you saved your online work. Most websites that allow you to save your work asks you to create an account with them and log in whenever you have to use the online application. Once you are logged in, use the 'restore file' feature, if the website has one.
2. Navigate to the location of your offline work. If in case it was accidentally deleted, you can restore it from the Recycle Bin folder. Open your Recycle Bin and browse the files. Once you find the file you are looking for, right-click on the file name and click 'Restore.' The file shall automatically be moved back to its original location.
3. Restore the file even if it was deleted from the Recycle Bin. Windows has a 'System Restore' feature that you can use to revert back to a restore point, when the files you need have not been deleted yet. Click 'Start,' 'Control Panel,' 'Performance and Maintenance' and then 'System.' If the check box before 'Turn off System Restore' is not checked, this means that System Restore is running.
4. Click 'Start,' 'All Programs,' 'Accessories' and then 'System Tools.' From the list of options, select 'System Restore.' Select 'Restore my computer to an earlier time,' and then click 'Next.' Select the date where restore points are available to restore your computer to an earlier time. Click 'Next' and then wait for the process to finish.
