1. Find a mobile data sync kit for your Samsung phone. This comes with a USB cable and a piece of software that will allow you to connect your phone to your computer and download the data to it. You can purchase these online (see Resources) or from your local cell phone shop.
2. Insert the CD-ROM that came with the kit into your computer's drive. Install the software by following the instructions on the screen.
3. Turn your computer on and plug the data cable into the bottom of your Samsung phone. Plug the other end of the cable into the USB port and wait for a few seconds. Windows will detect the new hardware and ask you to install drivers for it.
4. Click on 'Have Disk' then 'Browse' and locate them on your CD-ROM drive. Double-click on the drivers and wait for them to install.
5. Open up the application that you installed by clicking on the 'Start' menu. Once it opens, go to 'File' and 'Sync Files' to download your data to your computer. You can also go to your 'Start' and 'Computer' and you will see your Samsung phone listed as an extra drive. Double-click on it and you can drag and drop your files to your desktop.
