1.

Inkjet printer cartridges
Open the printer and remove ink cartridges.
2. Turn off and unplug the printer.
3. Remove the printer head from the printer assembly if it is designed for this to be easily done. If this is not the case, move the printer head to the center of the printing track.
Clean Printer Head
1. If you removed the printer head, let it soak in a bowl of warm water overnight before cleaning it. This will help loosen the dried ink. If you could not remove the printer head, move the head along the print track to the center of the printer and place a towel or rag underneath it.
2. Mix a solution of one part distilled water with one part rubbing alcohol.
3.

Syringe without needle tip
Build a printer head cleaner by placing a short length of rubber tubing over the tip of a syringe.
4. Fill the syringe with the distilled water/alcohol solution.
5. The inkjet printer head will have four to eight ink nozzles. Place the end of the rubber tubing over the top of the inkjet nozzle and gently press the cleaning solution through until it drips out the other side onto the towel or rag. Repeat this process with the other nozzles.
Replace and Test
1. Allow the printer head to dry.
2. If you removed the printer head from the printer, replace it.
3. Install ink cartridges in the printer head.
4. Run the printer's test print process to ensure that the print head has been unclogged.
