HP Printer Won't Turn on (4 Steps)

1. Plug the printer's power cable into the power outlet. Press the printer's power button and wait for the power light indicator to flash or start blinking. If the power light does not flash, press the button again. Note that some HP printers will take a while before they power on, so you have to wait for the device to initialize first. Don't hold down the power button too long--it may power on, and then turn off.
2. Disconnect the printer’s power supply from the power outlet (“power supply” refers to both the power cord and power module) and check for any visible damages. If the power cable is damaged and the printer is still under warranty, you may have it replaced by HP. Note that the power cable is attached to the “power module” (the one that looks like a laptop adapter). Detach the power module from the printer, and then connect the power cable into a power outlet. If the green light on the power module does not light up, contact HP to have it replaced.
3. Plug the power supply to the HP printer once again, and then plug the power cable into the power outlet. Ensure that the power cable is attached properly to the power module. If the printer still does not power on, try plugging the power cable into another power outlet. If the printer powers on this time, the problem is with the power outlet.
4. Unplug the USB connector located at the back of the printer, and then turn the printer on. If the printer powers on without the USB cable, it may be causing the printer to not power on. Consider replacing the USB cable if this is the case.

How to Troubleshoot a Canon iP1600 Printer (5 Steps)

1. Remove all of the paper from the paper tray and slide the paper guides all the way to the side. Examine the paper for any crumpled or torn pieces, then reload the tray. Make sure the guides fit snugly against the sides of the paper. If the guides are too loose, the paper can feed into the iP1600 skewed and cause a paper jam. If the guides are too tight it can cause the printer to grab more than one piece of paper.
2. Open the front of the printer and wait for the print cartridges to move to the center. Do not move the cartridges by hand--this could damage the printer and void your warranty.
3. Pull the cartridges slightly toward you and lift them free of the printer. Set the cartridges aside.
4. Wipe the interior of the printer with a soft cloth to remove any ink residue and paper dust. The Pixma iP1600 has a tendency to accumulate a lot of paper dust, especially during periods of heavy use. Cleaning the printer periodically is the best way to avoid problems.
5. Dip a cotton swab in warm water and carefully clean the bottom of each print cartridge. The print cartridges in the iP1600 printer also tend to accumulate paper dust. In addition the print nozzles can become clogged with ink residue, resulting in poor print quality and shortening the life of the cartridges. Continue wiping the cartridges until all ink residue and paper dust have been removed.

How to Fix Leaking Printer Cartridges

1. Remove the cartridge from your printer and wipe both the housing and the cartridge with an alcohol-based wipe. Do not use a water-based solution for this as it may damage electrical components.
2. Clean the printer head where it touches the cartridge. Sometimes dust or debris at the connection point can cause leakage that is not due to a faulty cartridge.
3. Rub a white cloth or tissue over the cartridge until you have identified the leaking area. If it is only colored at the outlet, this means the cartridge is fine.
4. Inspect the cartridge once you have determined the location of the leak. You should see a crack or fault. If not, squeeze the cartridge until you can see the damaged area.
5. Wipe the cartridge once more after you have identified the location and cut a piece of tape large enough to cover the affected area.
6. Place the tape over the affected area and smooth as much as possible. You can then replace the cartridge in the machine and test to ensure the area is firmly protected against future leakage.

How to Refill an Epson R200 (7 Steps)

1. Place the cartridge on the chip resetter. Make sure the metal leads on the chip are aligned with the metal leads on the resetter. Remove the cartridge after the resetter LED flashes green.
2. Set the cartridge on a flat surface over some paper towels to absorb any spilled ink.
3. Drill a small hole directly above the letter H in the word 'Push' on the top label of the cartridge. The hole only needs to be wide enough to fit a syringe needle.
4. Drill a second hole 1/8-inch above the first hole. This hole is to allow air to escape as ink is injected into the cartridge.
5. Fill a syringe with the appropriate amount and color of ink. The black cartridge holds 25ml of ink. Each color cartridge accepts 10ml of ink.
6. Insert the needle of the syringe into the first hole you drilled. Slowly inject the ink into the cartridge. Stop filling if ink starts bubbling out of the hole.
7. Repeat the previous steps for any additional cartridges that need to be refilled. Replace the cartridges in the printer. Allow them to rest for 24 hours so the ink can absorb into the internal sponge and air pockets can rise to the top. How to Share a Printer Wirelessly between PC Mac

1. First you will need to determine if you have all the hardware you need. You may need to buy wireless network adapters for one or more computers. If you don't already have a wireless router, you will need one. Be sure to buy one that has a slot for a printer. Look at the box when shopping. The picture in Step 3 shows what a wireless router that has a printer connection looks like.Be prepared to spend several hours setting up your network. Have the manufacturers' toll free numbers handy in case you run into trouble along the way.
NOTE: If you already have a wireless router and it is an older wireless structure such as Wireless G and you buy a new network card that is Wireless N, your wireless adapter will work, but it will only work at the Wireless G level. I have found that the newer Wireless N structure works far better than the older Wireless formats so if you can afford to buy a new router, I recommend it. Your wireless connection will only be as good as your wireless router.
2.
If you are installing a wired router for the first time, now is the time to set it up. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for installing the router. Most manufacturers advise you to shut power down before plugging something into the router so go ahead and do that first. Typically, you will be plugging a DSL or Cable internet connection into the wired router. You will plug the cable or phone line connection into the rear of the router as the instructions on the manufacturers' website or instruction booklet tells you to. Follow manufacturers' instructions for installation but if you have any trouble, there are toll free numbers available to you by the equipment manufacturer that you can call. It is usually fairly simple to set up a wired router if you follow manufacturers instructions.
3.
Now is the time to set up your wireless router. The typical wireless router made by Linksys, Apple or Netgear will have four ethernet connections on the back. Like wired routers, the manufacturer will probably recommend you power off the wireless router before plugging new cables in. You will need a Cat 5 cable to plug your wireless router into your wired router. Hopefully you paid attention to step one and have a wireless router that has a printer port on it. you can see that the Apple Airport Extreme Router in this photo has one. It is simply a USB port. Run the wireless router's software wizard to help you set up a password encryption so other people in the neighborhood won't be using YOUR wireless or be able to see what is on your computer. If you are especially cautious, set up the firewall that comes with all new wireless routers by following the manufacturers instructions.
4.
There are two types of wireless network cards available for computers. You can buy a wireless network adapter that plugs into an external USB port on your computer or you may opt to purchase a wireless PCI adapter card. If you feel comfortable opening up your computer and installing an internal card, this is the best way to go because USB wireless cards can wreak havoc on your computer's memory, causing your operating system to slow down in response.
5. Once you have determined that you have all the hardware equipment you need, you should go to the manufacturer of your wireless network card adapter's website. For example, if you bought a Linksys adapter, visit the Linksys website and look for a link to either 'Downloads' or 'support'. Put in the model number of your adapter and download the latest software and drivers for the item. This is crucial because the software that shipped with your adapter is probably out of date. If you are running Windows Vista on any computer, the network card won't work properly without updated drivers.
6. Few of us likes to do it, but before you try to install any network cards or routers, read the installation instructions. Network card adapters are usually installed only after you install the software. So read the manufacturer instructions and install the software. Then you will be ready for the next step.
7.
This Step is for People using Internal PCI network adapter cards:
After you have have installed the correct software and drivers for your wireless network adapters (or cards as some people call them), shut down the computers you are adding the adapters to.
After the computers have shut down, unplug them from the household electricity. After unplugging the computer (s), press the power button on the computers several times to discharge any residual power build up inside the machine.
Following your computer manufacturers instructions, open the case on your computer to reach its internal components.
NOTE: WEAR THE WRIST STRAP to contain any static electricity you might be carrying. Your computer's mother board can be completely ruined if you don't use the wrist strap to avoid static electricity charges.
Look to see where the PCI slots are located inside your computer.
8. Before powering your computer back on, go ahead and set the printer up where you would like it to be. This will necessarily need to be close to the wireless router, depending on how long your printer's cable is. Plug your printer's USB cable into the back of the router. Plug the printer into household power.
9. This step is for People Installing Internal PCI wireless network adapters:
After you have located the PCI slots, determine which one you will use. Behind the slot, you will see a metal strip that can be unscrewed. Unscrew the metal strip that has previously protected dust and other debris from entering your computer. Make sure that your wrist strap protector is clipped to the metal casing on your computer. Gently but firmly place the PCI network adapter into the slot you chose and push it in using a finger or two from each hand on the top of the adapter card and push into the slot completely while making sure the back of the card that will cover up the slot hole in the back of your computer is placed correctly. You shouldn't meet too much resistance while doing this. If you do, the adapter may not be placed correctly. Stop, make sure you have it where it needs to be. Don't force the adapter into the slot if it doesn't seem to fit correctly. You can damage the slot or the card if you don't have it aligned properly. Once you have the adapter card seated properly, and have screwed the metal strip on the back of the adapter card in, re-attach your computer's case housing and plug it back into the household power.
10. This step is for people using USB network adapters: First let me say one more time that even though USB network adapters are easy to install, they are inferior to PCI internal cards. USB adapters often make your computer run sluggishly as it uses up Randam Access Memory (RAM) which is the equivalent of short term memory in humans. If you have top notch ram and aren't worried about memory loss, go ahead and use the USB adapter. Now that you have installed the correct drivers and software for your wireless network adapter, turn off the computer. Unplug it from the household electricity. Press the on switch on your computer several times to discharge any residual power. Now plug the USB network adapter into an available USB slot. Plug your computer back in and power on.
11. Once your computer is powered on, you should see notification that your computer has detected new hardware and is installing it. If you have correctly installed the manufacturers' software, simply follow its instructions. If you haven't yet installed the wireless router, your new wireless adapter will be searching for a signal and probably won't find one unless some generous person in your neighborhood is offering their own free wireless which happens surprisingly often. That's okay. If your network adapter is searching for a signal, you are on the right path. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for your wireless adapter to find your wireless router signal. You should see your wireless network. Click on it and if you have put in a password on your wireless router, enter the password when prompted. You are now wireless!
12. If you are sharing a printer between a Mac and a PC, make sure you have installed the latest drivers. To share the printer from Apple wireless, you will need to install Bonjour on each PC. This is a very small program and easy to install and load. You can download it here: http://developer.apple.com/networking/bonjour/index.html
Download it and install it on each PC. Apple software is almost always easier to install than what you are used to if you are using a PC. The Bonjour software will walk you through the installation step by step and find the computer on the network that you want to share with the Mac computer. Just make sure you make it your default printer. Voila...you are set to go. You are now wireless!

2. Turn your printer off when not in use. This will prevent warm ink from bleeding onto the print head. If you have to store your printer, remove the ink cartridges.
3. Use a cleaning kit regularly. A cleaning kit usually includes a tube of ammonia that you spray on the printer head to clean dry ink.

How to Print on Fabric With an Inkjet Printer

1. Cut a piece of 100-percent cotton or 100-percent silk fabric a little bigger than you need to fit your inkjet printer.
2. Soak the fabric in Bubble Jet Set, which is a product that prepares fabric for inkjet ink so that is remains permanently on the fabric.
3. Remove the fabric from the Bubble Jet Set after 5 minutes.
4. Allow the fabric to dry completely and then iron the fabric to the shiny side of a piece of freezer paper to attach the freezer paper as a backing. Make sure there are no bubbles in the fabric.
5. Trim the fabric so that it is just slightly smaller than an 8.5-inch-by-11-inch piece of paper, making sure there are no stray threads hanging from the fabric.
6. Place the fabric into your printer where you would put your paper. Make sure the fabric is in the right way so that your image prints onto the fabric and not onto the backing.
7. Print the image directly onto your fabric using your normal printer controls. Let the fabric dry for about 30 minutes.

How to Manually Clean the Heads of a Stylus Printer

1. Open the cover of the Epson Stylus Printer. Once the cover is lifted, the ink cartridges will move to the side. Do not touch them until they have stopped.
2. Lift up on the ink cartridge tab to remove the ink cartridge.
3. Fill a bowl with enough isopropyl alcohol to cover the inkjet print head. If isopropyl alcohol is not available, hot water can be used, however, it isn't as effective as isopropyl alcohol.
4. Place only the print heads, located on the bottom of the ink cartridge, in the liquid. Do not submerge the cartridge, as this can cause irreparable damage. Allow the print head to soak in the liquid for eight hours.
5. Remove the ink cartridge. Place on a cloth, with the print heads facing downward. Do not place sideways or upside down as this will cause moisture to travel into the entire ink cartridge. Allow the print heads to completely air dry.
6. Place the ink cartridge back into the printer. The ink cartridge will just snap into the cartridge housing unit.
7. Test the printer by attempting to print something. If the cartridge is still clogged repeat the process.

How to Join the Ringling Brothers

1. Get into shape. No matter what circus job you will perform, your days working in the circus will require physical stamina and will involve long hours on your feet. Prepare to be strong enough to set up tents, your own workspace and to care for the circus animals.
2. Gain a formal education, if possible. Find a clown school, or a gymnastics class if you're interested in acrobatics. Even though formal classes probably won't be required for most circus jobs, investing in your education demonstrates to Ringling Brothers that you are motivated.
3. Gain first-hand experience in circus work, even if you have to volunteer for a short time. A mix of education and experience is a prerequisite for most circus jobs, but circuses like Ringling Brothers will probably not even look at your resume unless it reflects that you have experience.
4. Check the Feld Entertainment website and also the Career Builders website to see which positions are currently being filled. These are the two websites on which the Ringling Brothers Circus lists their openings.
5. Make a long-term plan for your career in the circus. Circus performers can go on to become administrators, or instructors at schools and camps. At some point, you may even want to leave the circus to pursue a career dream such as a television show, a career as a stunt double or your own television show.
6. Prepare your resume and a letter indicating what type of position you would like to be considered for. Keep in mind your long-term career goals, and make sure that your resume reflects the skills that will help you become promoted.
7. Send your resume and the letter to Feld Entertainment, Inc.

3. Plug the USB cable into the phone and plug the other end of the cable into the computer.
4. Open the software program for the phone and use it to download pictures from the phone to the computer. Older phones may not require software and will simply show up in 'My Computer.' Open the phone and browse the contents of the phone for pictures. Copy them to the computer.
5. Print once all the photos have been downloaded.

How to Remove Ballpoint Pen Ink Marks From Clothes

1. Lay the ink-stained portion of the clothing on top of a rag. This will catch the ink as it is being removed from the fabric.
2. Saturate the ink spot with alcohol-based hairspray. Blot the ink stain with a clean rag.
3. Continue blotting, switching to clean portions of the rag frequently, until no more ink transfers from the clothing to the rag. Apply more hairspray as needed.
4. Wash the clothing as usual. Let the clothing air dry after washing and inspect for any traces of the ink.
5. Repeat this process if the ink stain remains. If the hairspray doesn't remove the ink, move on to the steps for treating persistent ink stains.
Persistent Ink Stains
1. Apply dry-cleaning solvent to a clean rag and blot it onto the stain. Continue blotting, switching to clean portions of the rag frequently, until the ink is no longer transferring onto the rag. Apply more dry-cleaning solvent as needed.
2. Rinse the stained area of the clothing with cool water to remove the dry-cleaning solvent. Blot the spot with a rag moistened with rubbing alcohol. Let the rubbing alcohol sit on the clothing until it has dried.
3. Drizzle liquid laundry detergent on top of the rubbing alcohol. Work the detergent into the stain with your fingers. Let it sit on the clothing overnight.
4. Rinse the clothing under cool water the next day. Apply a laundry pretreatment spray and launder the clothing as usual. Do not place the clothing in the dryer until you are sure that all of the ink is gone.

How to Uninstall A Printer From Your Windows Based Computer

1. In order to begin uninstalling your printer, make sure that it is still plugged in so that it is recognized when you start the computer. To begin, navigate and click the 'Start' button on the bottom left corner of your desktop. Once your program menu generates, click on 'Control Panel.' Your Control Panel will open, and you should navigate to the icon for Printers. When the window populates, it will have all printers that are installed on your computer available to click on. Once you have highlighted the printer you wish to uninstall, click on the 'Delete Printer' button.
2. A new window will pop up asking you 'Are you Sure You Want To Delete This Printer?' If you are certain you no longer want this installed on your computer, click 'Yes.' A new window for 'Wise Install Wizard will open.' This gives you the name of the printer you are going to uninstall in the middle section of the window, as well as options to 'Repair' or 'Cancel.' If you are only having problems with your printer, it is suggested that you hit the bubble next to 'Repair' and continue from here. If you indeed wish to uninstall, click the bubble next to 'Uninstal'l and then hit 'Next.'
3. The window moves to the next step in the process for you. This new window asks you if you would like to uninstall all related files for this printer including saved updates. Click on 'Yes,' because without the printer installed, the updates for the printer are only using up space on your hard drive.
4. A new window will open showing the progress of your command. You will see a progress bar in Vista or files moving from one folder to another in XP. The time needed to complete the process is shown in the middle portion of the window underneath the progress bar. Depending on the speed of your processor, this can take as little as 15 seconds and as much as two minutes. Once the process is complete, a new window will open saying 'Uninstall Complete.' You then want to click on the 'Close' button on the bottom right of this box to close it.
5. Any time you uninstall a program from your computer, it is recommended that you restart for the changes to take effect. Newer computers always have a pop up box that will open as soon as the uninstall is complete, alerting you for the need to restart. Click on 'Restart Now.'
6. If your computer is an older model, you may have to manually restart your system. In order to do so, navigate to and click on your 'Start' button on the bottom left corner of your desktop. In Vista, click on the power button that is located at the bottom of your program menu, and then hit 'Restart.' Using XP, open your Start Up Menu, and navigate to your power options. Click on 'Restart,' and your computer will begin to shut down. Once it restarts, the changes you specified during the uninstall process will take effect, and your printer is now removed from your computer.

How to Clean Art Prints

1. Take good care of your art prints. Framing or covering them is probably the best option if you want to keep your prints on display. Otherwise keep them in a dry and safe place.
2. Blow off all surface dust and debris with a cheap and effective dust blower (available at your local arts and crafts store).
3. If the prints need more than a good blowing, then try using Photographic Solutions PEC-12, which can get almost anything off photos and prints. You'll also need a spray bottle and some PECPads, available at bhphoto.com or an arts and crafts store.PEC-12 is strong stuff, so depending on the size of the art print you shouldn't need more than a spray or two. If you're working with something near 4' x 6' you might only need half a spray.
4. A cheaper and simpler method to clean your art prints involves dabbing the photo with a cotton ball soaked with rubbing alcohol. Be sure to wipe away any leftover residue. A quick wipe with a microfibre or other lint-free cloth is a good idea to make sure all debris is cleared from the print.

How to Use a POS Cash Register System (5 Steps)

1. Enter the UPC number for each item. Include the cost, sale price and department of the item to help track sales later.
2. Enter age restrictions that apply to the item. Age restrictions are used to prompt the cashier to enter the customer's date of birth. The POS system will determine if the customer is able to purchase the item.
3. Enter quantity restrictions on the item if any exist. Certain cold remedies can only be purchased in small quantities to prevent using them to create illicit drugs.
4. Attach the POS printer, displays and scanners to the register. The hardware should be fully tested to insure that a bar code can be scanned and a receipt printed before putting the register into service.
5. Test restricted items at this time. Alcohol and tobacco products should prompt for date of birth ID which will restrict the sale of the item if the customer is underage.

How to Get Rid of Broken Home Printers (5 Steps)

1. Contact the company that handles your normal trash pickup. Many trash companies partner with recycling firms to pick up and reclaim old computer and electronics equipment.
2. Check with the municipality where you live and ask if there's a bulk pickup program in place. Many towns establish a special pickup service for residents with old TVs, computers, monitors and printers.
3. Contact the county where you live. Even if bulk pickup is not available in your town, the county might have a facility where you can drop off your unwanted printers and other items.
4. Remove the inkjet cartridges from your printer before sending it off for recycling. Many charities collect these used ink cartridges to raise funds. Check with your local office supply store to find the nearest inkjet recycling program.
5. Pick up a copy of your local newspaper and look in the classified section. Look for the computers section and see if people want used printers and computer equipment. Many companies and some private citizens pick up old computer equipment and use it to create items for resale.

How to Sublimate (Part One) (8 Steps)

1. First and most important, you need to have a good, solid understanding of the basic process of sublimation before you can successfully make a business of it. There are some people who go into the sublimation business and fail, or give up - like any other business. There are various reasons why. Let's cover some of these in Step Two
2. Main Reasons Why Sublimation Start-Ups Fail:
Failure to understand color correction and color palettes.Equipment not working properly - for a variety of reasons (will cover).Weak or bad business plan.
3. The failure to understand color correction and color palettes is a problem for some people in the sublimation business. To be fair, and honest, one should not go into the sublimation business expecting to exactly duplicate colors they see: A) in the real world. B) On other items. C) On their computer screen. This also means one should not promise their clients they can exactly duplicate each and every color. When should color correction be a major concern?
4. If you are taking a job in which you will produce hundreds or even thousands of sublimated items for a client, then exact color replication is very important. How do you handle this? You spend at least a week - perhaps a few days more - working on color palettes, testing and getting the colors right. Please do not expect that you will scan a logo in, punch a few keys, print and sublimate it and that's it. That's not it.
5. I will cover color correction in depth in a coming chapter but first let's move to the second main reason some sublimation businesses do not pan out: Equipment not working properly. Well, it's one of two things. Either there is something wrong with some part of the equipment and it needs to be replaced, or the equipment is not being used properly. Even though I found it can easily be a malfunction in some part of the equipment, more often I found it was the equipment not being used as it must be for the particular process to work.
6. A common example of equipment not being used properly is found at the heat press. This does not mean the person operating the heat press is a dummy. It means they have not found the right method for the item they are pressing. I will cover in depth tips and tricks at the heat press and how to use mug, cap and flat heat presses properly.
7. A weak or bad business plan can kill a business - any business. In the sublimation business a common cause of failure is - well, not having a written business plan. What exactly do you want to offer your customers? WHO are your customers? How will you market your sublimated products? In tech support when meeting with perspective and existing customers, I often found them trying to offer too much in the beginning. In other words they were ordering name badges, coffee mugs, t-shirts, bumper stickers, magnets, jewelry, ceramic tiles and so on. Since they were brand new to the business I could not see how they expected to learn how to sublimate and sell all that product in the beginning. What was more impressive was the customer who came in and said I want to sell sublimated jewelry to my customers - help me to do that.
8. Learning to sublimate is not really that difficult, though in the beginning it takes a little time to get used to the various aspects of the process. In the next chapter we will set up a small business that has through some hard, preliminary work landed a potentially lucrative contract to provide T-Shirts for a local motor sports track.

How to Use Sublimation Over Dark Colors

1. Load dye sublimation ink into an inkjet printer. Load the design you want to transfer to a polymer-coated material or at least 50 percent polyester content T-shirt into a graphics program on your computer.
2. Place a piece of white dye sub dark polyurethane transfer paper into your printer and print the design onto the paper.
3. Place the printed piece of dye sub dark polyurethane transfer paper face down onto the T-shirt or other item to which you want to transfer it.
4. Adhere the transfer paper with design to the dark t-shirt or other item with a heat press set to 392 degrees Fahrenheit. Hold the press closed with moderate to heavy pressure for 10 seconds to 4 minutes, depending on the type of material to which you are transferring the design (Reference 3 contains a material-specific chart with press times and temperatures).
5. Remove the item from the press, examine it for color transfer and allow it to cool.

How to Connect a Canon Printer (5 Steps)

1. Unpack and set up your printer according to the manufacturer's specifications. Make sure the power is on and ink and paper are installed. If you have one of the Canon photo printers, don't waste your good photo paper yet; just load in some plain business paper.
2. Connect the square end of the USB cable to your printer. There should only be one port in the back of the printer that will take the connection.
3. Connect the other end of the wire to the computer. There should be several ports that will take this wire; they are usually located on the back of the machine.
4. Boot up your computer.
5. Watch for an announcement that Windows XP or Vista has 'discovered' your printer--it's usually something along the lines of 'New Hardware Found,' then 'Canon xxxx.' Follow the directions that appear on the screen. If this doesn't work, or you have an older version, just insert the driver CD into your computer and follow the directions.

Brother Label Maker Instructions (7 Steps)

1. Press down on the door latch on the top of the machine to remove the back cover. Insert AAA batteries in the battery compartments on the left side of the printer. The bottom three batteries should have their positive terminals pointing to the top of the machine, and the top three batteries should be facing the opposite direction.
2. Place the Brother tape cassette into the opening designed for it. It should only fit in the correct direction. Ensure that that bottom of the tape is completely flat in the socket and then close the cover of the printer.
3. Press the “On/Off” button to turn on the machine. If the machine was used before, it will return to the previous session’s display when you turn it on. The machine will turn itself off if no key is pressed for five minutes.
4. Use the letters on the keyboard to make the message that you want to print. Press the “Caps” key to create capital letters and press the “Num” key to create numbers and symbols, which are shown above each letter key. The message can be up to 55 characters long, but only eight at a time will display.
5. Press the “Function” button to access the menus that will allow you to change the message size, font and underline options. There are also menus for mirror printing, which will reverse the message so that it can be read in a mirror, and the amount of space in the margins of the tape.
6. Use the “Print” button when you are finished typing the message and the Brother label maker will print out your message. Push the cutter lever, located right next to where the tape comes out, to sever the tape.
7. Consult the label maker’s manual for additional instructions about numerous other features including saving and recalling text, repeat printing, and numbering the messages. The manual will also have lists and instructions for special symbols and accented characters that do not appear on the keyboard.

How to Run a Digital Printing Press (4 Steps)

1. Learn how to use all of the digital printers associated with the digital printing press so that you can operate the equipment just like any of the employees you hire, as well as train employees to use this equipment if they do not know how. Become familiar with the repair warranties and how to quickly fix the digital printers if anything happens to them without having to take the time to call the technician. This will enable you to get the business up and running again quickly.
2. Hire employees who know exactly how to use these machines so that they can do the best possible job for the customer in the shortest amount of time. Collectively train employees on how to use new digital printing press machines that you purchase.
3. Keep stockpiles of materials like paper and ink. Have employees keep tabs on these materials so that the press never runs out of them. Delaying a job could possibly result in lost business. Also, purchase small amounts of high-end paper and ink so that if a customer requests it, and wants to pay for it, you can provide it for him.
4. Place monitors in the front of the digital printing press---where the customer enters or considers using your services---that display the work you have done for past clients. Also, have hard copies on hand of any publications, presentations, banners or other products the digital printing press has produced so that customers can look at them and see what type of work your company does. Having examples to have and hold helps to sell your business's abilities.

How Do I Get My HP F2400 Printer to Work? (6 Steps)

1. Press the 'Power' button on the printer's control panel and wait for the printer to boot up. If you press the 'Power' button again while the printer boots up, this will turn the printer off again. Continue if the printer won't turn on.
2. Examine the F2400's power cord to see that you have it securely plugged into both the printer and the electrical outlet. Examine the connection between the power cord and the adapter box to make sure that it is secure as well. Examine the power strip or backup battery source to make sure you have this turned on, if you don't have the printer's power cord plugged directly into an electrical outlet.
3. Press the 'Power' button again to turn on the printer. If the printer won't turn on, plug the power cord directly into an electrical out and turn on the printer.
4. Plug another device into the same electrical outlet to make sure the outlet is working correctly if you still can't turn on the printer. Move the printer to another room if it still does not work.
5. Click on the 'Print' option in the software program you use to print and select the F2400 in the pull-down menu. If you don't see the F2400 as your default printer, click 'Start' and select 'Devices and Printers.' Right-click the F2400 and click to place a check mark next to 'Set as default printer.'

How to Operate a Panasonic Typewriter (4 Steps)

1. Plug in the typewriter. If the typewriter is electronically operated, plug it into the wall socket and press the 'ON/OFF' switch on the left side of the machine. An indicator lamp will light when the typewriter is active.
2. Insert paper. Electric Panasonic typewriters automatically feed paper to line seven on the page. Place a clean sheet of A4 paper in the top of the typewriter and pull the paper bale release lever toward you. This lever is on the top of the machine at the back and to the left. If the typewriter is not electric, place paper in the top and turn the knob on the left side of the machine to wind paper to the chosen position.
3. Start typing. The keys on a Panasonic typewriter are arranged in the 'QWERTY' formation standard to most typewriters and computers. Some keys have additional symbols printed in the top right of the key. These characters can be printed by adjusting the 'KB1-KB2' switch. KB stands for Keyboard 1 and Keyboard 2 and the selector is located on the far right of the machine. KB1 mode prints the main characters printed on the keys, KB2 prints secondary characters. On standard, non-electric typewriters hold down the 'SHIFT' key to access secondary characters.
4. Familiarize yourself with the function keys. These keys are on the left and right of the standard 'QWERTY' set. Most keys will be familiar to computer users, such as 'Return', 'Tab' and 'Backspace.' Note that the backspace key is different to the delete key; backspace simply moves the typewriter back a character while delete, if available, will white-out or lift the last character entered.

How to Troubleshoot an Epson Projector (3 Steps)

1. Look at the indicator lights on the Epson projector. The indicator lights tell you a lot about the unit and help you determine the source of the problem. If you see an orange indicator light, there is a temperature problem. If the light is flashing orange, the unit is becoming too hot, and, when the orange light is steady, the projector has shut down to avoid damage from overheating. A red light means the lamp is burned out or defective.
2. Check to ensure the projector is not in standby mode if you do not see an image on the screen. Press the standby button to wake up the projector. If the video from your computer is still not reflecting on the projector screen, connect an external monitor to your computer to make sure you have good video from your computer. If there is good video from your computer, remove the monitor cable from the projector and the PC, and then firmly reattach them. Sometimes the cable comes loose, which causes the projector to lose the signal.
3. Use the focus feature on the projector if the picture is blurry or unclear. You may need to adjust the focus several times before the picture is right. If you are having trouble with the color on the projector, adjust the color on your computer. If this does not help, remove and then reattach the video cable--when the cable is loose, this causes problems with the display.

How to Make Greeting Cards in Photoshop

1. Open a new document in Photoshop by opening the program and selecting 'file' and 'new' on the toolbar on the top left of the page. After the file has been opened, the size of the page must be set to be half the size of a normal piece of paper, since it will be folded. Therefore, the page size should be 4.25 by 5.5 inches. Also, select a 0.25-inch border around the page
2. Select a background color. You can select any background color you like, but many people choose to go with white because it allows them to add color to the elements on the page. For those who want to use white, nothing needs to be done in this step. To create a background of a different color, go to the toolbar and navigate to 'view' and select 'colors.' Choose a color for the background by selecting any of the colors that appear in the palette.
3. Make a new page by pressing 'Ctrl' and 'N' together. Make the page the same size as the page opened in Step 1. In the layers palette, click on this page and name it 'Inside.' This will be the part of the card that will be the inside of the card.
4. Bring the Background page to the front by clicking anywhere on it. Insert text, an image or both. For text, select the textbox tool in the toolbox on the left-hand side of the page. Draw a box by dragging this tool most of the way across the page and about a quarter down the page. The greeting card message of 'Congratulations,' 'Merry Christmas,' 'Happy Birthday' and the like will be placed here.
Type the words desired into this box. Use the font viewer in the toolbar to change the font size and style to suit the card.
Insert an image by selecting the image box tool from the tool box and drawing a box where the image will be placed on the page. Then navigate to 'edit' and then 'place image' to put the image where it belongs. Select the arrow tool from the tool box to increase or decrease the image size by dragging on a corner.
5. Create the inside of the card by inserting text and images as you please. Follow the process outlined in the previous Step. Remember that when drawing text boxes and image boxes, that there should be alignment on the page. Scattered text and images will make the page appear messy.
6. Print the pages one at a time. The first page printed should be the Background page. After this page has been printed, insert the page back into the printer and print the 'inside' page. This will allow the card to come out as one element instead of two pieces of paper. Fold the card, place in an envelope and send.
