1. Turn on the Playstation 3. Scroll with the left and right buttons on the controller to highlight 'System.' Press the up and down buttons on the controller to scroll to 'System Update.' Press X to enter the Update menu.
2. Scroll to 'Update from Internet' and press the 'X' button. The PS3 will analyze the system software do determine if you have the newest software and will update it if necessary.
3. Scroll to the 'Settings' menu again and press the up or down arrows to scroll to 'Printer Selection.' Press the 'X' button and scroll to 'Printer Settings.' Press the 'X' button.
4. Scroll up and down to choose your HP printer from the list. Press the 'X' button to select it. Press the 'O' button once the printer is selected to go back to the main screen.
5. Plug your printer into one of the USB ports on the front of the PS3 console. Make sure your printer has power by plugging a power cord into a nearby socket.
6. Scroll to the pictures menu on the PS3 and scroll to find the picture you want to print. Press the 'X' key to display the options menu. Scroll to 'Print' and press 'X.' The picture will print on the printer.
