1. Point your browser to Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, http://www.malwarebytes.org/, and click on the blue 'Download Free Version' button.
2. Click on the 'Download Now' button to start the download process. Click 'Open' to download the file.
3. Select the language you prefer and click 'OK.' The Malwarebytes setup wizard will begin. Several dialog boxes will appear. The first dialog box is the licensing agreement for Malwarebytes. Read the information and select the radio button 'I agree' and click 'Next.' Read the information about updates to the version you are downloading and click 'Next.'
4. Select the destination of where you want Malwarebytes to install or accept the default setting and click 'Next.' Decide if you want a Malwarebytes shortcut on your desktop or skip this step by clicking 'Next.' You will be asked to create a desktop icon or a Quick launch icon. If you choose, you can also ignore this by clicking 'Next.'
5. Click 'Install' to install the program on your hard drive. It takes a short time for the program to download and install. The program will ask if you would like to update and launch the program. Leave both boxes on this dialog checked to update and launch the program. Click 'Finish.' The computer connects with the main Malwarebytes site and will beep when it is done updating. Click 'OK' and Malwarebytes will start.
Remove the Virus
1. Click on the radio button 'Perform full scan' and click 'Scan' in the Malwarebytes program window. Depending on the size of your hard drive and the number of infections, a full scan may take a while. The computer will beep when the scan is completed and a dialog box appears letting you know the results of the scan.
2. Click 'Show Results' to see what Malwarebytes found. Check all detected security threats and click 'Remove Selected.' A screen will appear reporting what was removed.
3. Restart your computer to finish the process.
