1. Turn off the printer and remove the power cord. Allow the printer to cool off for 30 minutes to an hour before attempting to work with the fuser. The fuser gets very hot while the printer is in use, and you can be burned if you touch it before it cools.
2. Press the release lever on the side door to open it. Pull down the fuser lever so you have room to grab any jammed paper.
3. Pull the jammed paper out of the fuser unit. Hold the paper at its lowest point and pull downward. Flip the fuser lever back up and close the side door.
