How to Run a Digital Printing Press (4 Steps)

1. Learn how to use all of the digital printers associated with the digital printing press so that you can operate the equipment just like any of the employees you hire, as well as train employees to use this equipment if they do not know how. Become familiar with the repair warranties and how to quickly fix the digital printers if anything happens to them without having to take the time to call the technician. This will enable you to get the business up and running again quickly.
2. Hire employees who know exactly how to use these machines so that they can do the best possible job for the customer in the shortest amount of time. Collectively train employees on how to use new digital printing press machines that you purchase.
3. Keep stockpiles of materials like paper and ink. Have employees keep tabs on these materials so that the press never runs out of them. Delaying a job could possibly result in lost business. Also, purchase small amounts of high-end paper and ink so that if a customer requests it, and wants to pay for it, you can provide it for him.
4. Place monitors in the front of the digital printing press---where the customer enters or considers using your services---that display the work you have done for past clients. Also, have hard copies on hand of any publications, presentations, banners or other products the digital printing press has produced so that customers can look at them and see what type of work your company does. Having examples to have and hold helps to sell your business's abilities.
