How to use the Add Hardware Wizard from the Windows 7 Control Panel

1. Click the Windows 'Start' button, and select 'Control Panel' from the Start menu.
2. Open the Windows 'Device Manager' from the 'System and Security' menu.
3. Right-click on the computer name at the top of the device tree, then select 'Add Legacy Hardware' from the menu to launch the 'Add Hardware Wizard.'
4. Click the 'Next' button to start the process of installing the new hardware. Click 'Search for and install the hardware automatically', and then click 'Next.' Windows 7 will then start a scan for new hardware, and will try to install the necessary drivers automatically.
5. Click 'Install the hardware that I manually select from a list' if the hardware isn't found automatically. Select the type of hardware from the list, and then click the 'Have Disk...' button. Navigate to the driver file on the computer's hard disk or CD drive, and click 'Open.' Once the driver has finished installing, restart the computer to ensure the new hardware is correctly installed.
