How to Troubleshoot iP4200 Problems (4 Steps)

1. If you are not getting satisfactory print results, check that the color-ink tanks still have ink in them. If not, get replacements. If this doesn't work, proceed to Step 2.
2. If the problem persists, activate the printhead cleaner. Press down the 'Resume/Cancel' button until you see the 'Power' light flash green. Release the button immediately and the printer will clean the printhead. If this does not work, proceed to Step 3.
3. Carry out the 'PrintHead Deep Cleaning' process. Boot up your PC while ensuring your printer is on. On your screen, click 'Start,' followed by 'Control Panel.' Click on 'Printers And Other Hardware' before selecting 'Printers and Faxes.' Select your printer's icon. Go the 'File Menu' and click on 'Properties' or 'Printing Preferences.' Press on the 'Maintenance' tab and select 'Deep Cleaning.'
4. If you wish to deep clean the black ink tank, select the 'Black PGBK.' If cleaning one of the color ink tanks, select 'Color C,M,Y,BK.' If you wish to clean all colors, then select 'All Colors.' Press 'Execute.' Wait as the cleaning operation is carried out; it should take no more than 75 seconds. Ensure that you do not operate the printer during this time.
