How to Delete All HP Printer Files From My Computer

1. Turn off the printer and disconnect the printer cable from your computer.
2. Open the 'Start' menu and press 'Control Panel.'
3. Click either 'Uninstall a Program' or 'Programs and Features,' depending on your current Control Panel view.
4. Scroll down the list and locate your printer software. The name varies by model, but will start with 'HP.'
5. Click on the printer software listing and press 'Uninstall.' Follow the on-screen prompt to complete the process.
6. Repeat with any additional HP listings if more exist, then close the window.
Removing Drivers
1. Reopen the 'Start' menu and click 'Devices and Printers.'
2. Click on the icon of your HP printer. If the printer doesn't appear, the software uninstall already removed the drivers and you can skip this process. This will vary by model.
3. Click 'Remove Device' and press 'Yes' to confirm.
Deleting Leftover Files
1. Reboot your computer to allow the uninstall process to delete any in-use files.
2. Open the 'Start' menu and click 'Computer.'
3. Open your hard drive, usually 'C:,' and open the 'Program Files' folder.
4. Look for an 'HP' folder. If one exists, click it and press 'Delete' on the keyboard. Right-click on the Recycle Bin and click 'Empty Recycle Bin' to erase the files. If no 'HP' folder remains, the uninstaller already cleaned all the files itself.
5. Repeat the process in the 'Program Files (x86)' folder if your computer has one.
