1. Press the 'Receive Mode' button, located near the right side of the fax machine control panel, to cycle through the fax receive modes. Each time the 'Receive Mode' button is pressed, a new receive mode will appear on the screen.
2. Decide which of the receive options you would like to use. When the fax machine is set to Fax Only mode, the machine will answer every call as if it were a fax. The machine will listen for fax tones when set to Fax/Tel and will only start the fax reception process if fax tones are detected, allowing voice phone calls to be received. TAD: Answer Mach is similar to Fax/Tel, although this mode allows an answering machine to answer calls. When the machine is set to Manual, you must physically press the 'Fax Start' button to receive a fax.
3. Allow the receive mode that you would like to use to remain on the screen for approximately two seconds, after which the LCD screen will return to the normal display, with your selected receive mode displayed on the right side of the screen.
Sending a Fax
1. Place the document that you would like to fax in the automatic document feeder. Insert the pages facedown and upside down, with the top of the page inserted into the fax machine.
2. Move the paper guides around your documents so that they fit securely but do not bend the paper.
3. Enter the fax number to which you would like to send the fax.
4. Press the 'Fax Start' button to send the fax.
