1. Click the Windows 'Start' button and then click 'Computer.' This opens a Windows Explorer screen with a list of currently installed hard drives.
2. Click the 'Map network drive' button at the top of your window. This opens a wizard window that helps you map the drive.
3. Select a drive letter from the drop-down box. Click the 'Browse' button to open a dialog window. Double-click the computer you want to access and then double-click the shared drive. If you want to access the remote computer's C drive, enter 'C$.' This maps directly to the hard drive. Click 'OK.'
4. Check the box labeled 'Reconnect at logon.' This maps the network drive each time you reboot the computer. Click 'Finish.' This closes the wizard window and maps your drive. Notice in your Windows Explorer screen that the new drive letter is shown. Double-click the drive to open and access the remote computer's files.
