1. Check the USB connection. Make sure you are using the USB cable that was packaged with your Epson printer and that you have connected it directly to a USB port, if possible. Make sure the printer drivers were correctly installed.
2. Check the control panel on the top of the printer. If the error light is on, an error message will appear in the LCD panel.
3. Check the progress meter on your computer screen. You may see an error message near the top of the progress meter screen.
4. Make sure you have correctly positioned the index form and that you have selected the correct paper type on the form.
5. Check the ink cartridge. Make sure that it's correctly installed and that it is not empty or low on ink. Change the cartridge, if necessary.
6. Make sure a memory card is loaded if you are trying to print from memory. Check that it is formatted and that it is not write-protected. Make sure the card has enough free space. If it doesn't, load another card.
7. Make sure the feeder has paper and that there are no paper jams.
8. Turn the printer off, and then turn it back on.
