1. Connect your printer to your computer, if not connected. Insert paper into the paper feed tray on the back of your Officejet printer. Press the 'Power' button on the left side of the printer to turn the unit on.
2. Click on the Windows 'Start' button. Hover over 'Programs,' select 'HP' then click on 'HP Solution Center.' A new window will appear.
3. Click the 'Settings' button at the bottom of the window. The Settings menu will appear.
4. Click on the 'Printer Settings' button beneath the 'Print Settings' section. A new window will appear.
5. Click the 'Device Services' tab at the top of the window and click on 'Align the Print Cartridges' button. A dialog box will appear.
6. Click 'Print Page.' The alignment page will print.
7. Open the scanner lid and insert the alignment page, face down and horizontal, onto the scanner surface. Line up the bottom right corner of the page with the bottom right corner of the scanner surface. Press the 'Scan' button on the left side of the printer to scan the alignment page and align the print cartridges.
