1. Connect the Officejet printer to your computer by means of the printer cable, plug it into the electrical outlet and turn it on.
2. Load the paper tray with the appropriate paper. Open the document you wish to print.
3. Click 'File' then 'Print' to open the Printer dialog box, where you choose the settings. Select the HP Officejet as the printer.
4. Open the Properties dialog box to change the color settings. This button could be called Properties, Options, Printer Setup or Printer. Select the Color tab, then select color. Change any other settings, like Paper Size, Finishing, or Effects.
5. Click OK to close the Properties dialog box. The settings you have selected apply only to the current print job. Click 'OK' to begin your print job.
6. Print in color for all future printing jobs by changing printer settings. In the HP Director, click Settings, and then select Printer Settings. Make changes to the print settings, and click 'OK.'
