How to Disable the Administrator Password on a HP LaserJet

1. Click on the 'Start' icon and select 'All Programs.'
2. Click on your HP LaserJet software icon in the program list. An example would be an 'HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer' icon. A menu of available utilities for this LaserJet will open.
3. Click on the 'Control Panel' icon.
4. Click on the 'Passwords' tab.
5. Click on 'Disable Passwords.' This will remove the administrator password and the printer will be usable without a password prompt.
6. Restart your printer. Turn the printer off and press the 'Go' button to turn it back on.
7. Click on the 'OK' button on the printer screen after restart. This will confirm your password setting changes on the printer.
8. Restart the computer.
