How to Configure a Dymo Labelwriter to a USB Port

1. Check the power cord and USB cable on the Dymo printer. Make sure the USB connection is secure and that the printer has power.
2. Access the configuration chart on Dymo's customer help website (see Resources). You will need the configuration settings from this chart for your specific model of printer in order to finish configuring your Dymo to the USB port.
3. Access your computer's 'Printers' folder. Depending on the operating system and configuration of your computer, the folder can be accessed in one of two ways. Either click on 'Start,' then 'Settings,' and you'll see the printers folder in that menu; or click on 'Start,' then 'Control Panel,' and locate the folder for printers and other hardware, or printers and faxes, in that menu.
4. Right-click on the icon labeled 'Dymo LabelWriter' and select 'Properties' from the drop-down menu that appears.
5. Click on the 'Ports' tab in the Properties window and then click on 'Configure Port.'
6. Compare the port settings that appear in the 'Configure Port' window to the settings listed in the configuration chart from Dymo's website. If the settings in Windows don't match the settings listed for your printer, make the changes in Windows and then click 'OK.'
