How to Install an HP 5600 Series Printer (5 Steps)

1. Bring up HP's Software and Drivers page in your computer's Internet browser. (See Resources) Enter the specific model number of your 5600 series printer and click 'Next.' Select your operating system and click 'Next.'
2. Click the plus sign next to 'Driver' and click 'Download.' Choose the folder on your computer that you want to save the driver to and click 'Save.' Double-click the file you downloaded when the process is complete.
3. Click 'Accept' to agree to the default installation location of the files. Click 'Next' to start the file extraction.
4. Connect the HP 5600 series printer to your computer when prompted by the installation wizard. Use the USB cable that came with its purchase to connect it to the USB port on your computer. Click 'Next' when your computer recognizes the printer.
5. Click 'Restart' to restart your computer when prompted. Click 'Finish' after your computer restarts and the installation wizard finishes setting up the printer.
