1. Click the Windows 'Start' button and click the 'Control Panel.' Double-click 'Add or Remove Programs' to open the programs window if you are a Windows XP user. Doube-click 'Program and Features' and click 'Uninstall a Program' under 'Programs' to open the programs window if you are a Windows Vista user.
2. Click the HP software (e.g. HP Imaging) you want to uninstall and click 'Remove/Uninstall.' Follow the guided prompts to uninstall the program as they vary with different HP software.
3. Download and run the uninstallation tool if you are unable to remove the HP software from the programs window. To do so, go to the HP Officejet Softare download page (see Resources) and click 'Download only.'
4. Click 'Save' to download the HP software removal utility on your desktop. Double-click the removal tool after it has downloaded and click 'Run.' The removal tool removes all HP Software in a 4 level process. When the process is complete, your computer is free of HP Software.
