1. Install the refilled ink cartridge, and continue using the printer. You may need to print several documents before the printer displays the ink-level warning.
2. Click on 'OK' in the first warning message to signal that you want to keep printing. Select the 'Yes' button in the next message, which warns that printing with a refilled cartridge may cause damage to the printer.
3. Click on the 'Yes' button in the next window. By selecting this button, you are acknowledging that Canon has warned you about the potential consequences of using a refilled cartridge.
4. Hold down your printer's 'Resume' button for 5 seconds or more. If your printer does not have 'Resume,' hold down the 'OK' or 'Cancel' button.
5. Release the button you are holding down once the flashing light on your printer stops or the warning message on the computer's screen disappears.
