How to Reset an HP Laserjet 5550N (4 Steps)

1. Turn off the Laserjet 5550N and leave it off for a minute or two. Power the unit back on and watch the display carefully.
2. Press and hold the green 'Select' button when the memory count starts. This is the button with the checkmark on it.
3. Watch for the three LED lights to come on and remain illuminated. Release the 'Select' button.
4. Press the down arrow key when you see Select Language on the display. Press the arrow key until you see the Cold Reset option. Press the 'Select' key to verify the cold reset.
